- Carbohydrates are bad and should be absolutely avoided. Not all carbohydrates are bad. It is true that they can be transformed into fat and cause you fat. But carbohydrates are one of the best sources of energy. The lack of them may give you some health issue. The best solution is to avoid refined carbohydrates for example white flour or white sugar. You can replace white flour and its products with whole grain products. You can also replace sugar with fruits or certain types of vegetables. They will not make you fat and give you good nutrients for your health.

- You are fat because of genetics. This is not true. We may inherit some genes and we can have certain pattern of metabolism like our parents have. However, we don’t necessarily have to be fat or thin like them. It is our habits that make us look the way we are. These habits have been developed since when we were young. By changing these habits, we can change our looks.

Healthy fats for example the fats found in avocados, olive oil and fish oil are essential fats. They are good for your good health. What you have to do is to eat good fats and avoid bad fats. This will make you live longer and healthier.

- Skipping breakfast and dinner will help you lose weight. This is a classic myth that a lot of people still believe in. Skipping meals may give the wrong signal to your brain. The brain may perceive wrongly that you are in starvation mode. As a result, it will react by reducing the metabolism in the body. In the end, you will be fat easier even when you eat less.

- You should avoid all white food. Not all white foods are bad. Some refined white floor or white sugar may not be good for you. They have high calories and do not have much nutritional value.
